Enrique Iglesias has faced huge backlash after he shared a video of himself kissing a fan on the lips, sparking rumours he has split from Anna Kournikova. The superstar singer, 51, who shares four children with his stunning partner, 44, has come under fire after he reshared the video of himself in a very long snog with a fan. Despite the incident happening at a meet and greet in Las Vegas four years ago, Enrique has made the odd decision of reposting the clip on his Instagram grid.
In the video, which has gone viral, the Escape singer passionately embraced the fan before kissing her full on the lips, as she took a selfie. But fans are not happy with the clip and have been left concerned that Enrique posted the video because he has split from wife Anna. They also slammed the pop star as “disrespectful” for sharing the clip.
Taking to the comments on Instagram, one wrote: “Is he still with Anna? I bet she is p***ed!” This fan vented: “We’ve already seen this video, but out of respect for Anna, you shouldn’t share it. We know that she knows and accepts it but better to respect.” Another added: “Even though I absolutely love this man as an artist, I do feel there are certain boundaries that should not be crossed. idk it feels immoral.” A fourth said: “Anna must be furious! Or have they broken up and I’ve missed something??”
However, Enrique previously revealed that Anna “doesn’t get jealous” when he gets close to fans. Speaking to SiriusXM FYI Show two years ago, he said: “Anna will be at one of my shows and I’ll do that. I do that all the time – I love embracing, kissing and hugging my fans. I like getting close up. A lot of times she says, ’Man, I always get this look from some of the girls … and they’ll ask, ‘Are you OK with it?’ Yeah, I’m totally cool he’s onstage. He’s embracing his fans.’ I just love to get so much love from my fans and know that if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am.”
Enrique has been in a relationship with former tennis star Anna since 2001. The couple met filming the music video for his track Escape in 2001 and their romance quickly blossomed, with Anna moving into his beach front Miami home. The notoriously private pair have four children – twins Lucy and Nicolas, eight, and Mary, six – and most recently welcomed baby Romeo last December. While Enrique still embraces the limelight, his wife retired from playing professional tennis in 2003, and now keeps much of her life private. However, during her hey day, the Russian sports star also spent time modelling and was voted the world’s sexiest woman in 2002, beating the likes of Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
