A teacher from Western Australia's Mandurah district has been charged with multiple serious offences following an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of a male student.

Allegations of Persistent Abuse

The 33-year-old female educator is accused of engaging in persistent sexual conduct with a teenage male student. According to police, the alleged offending occurred over a period spanning 2024 and 2025.

The investigation was conducted by the specialist child abuse squad. Following their work, the woman was arrested and formally charged.

Serious Charges Laid

The teacher now faces a series of grave charges before the courts. These include:

  • Two counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16.
  • One count of persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16.
  • One count of possessing child exploitation material.

To protect the identity of the alleged victim, the name of the accused teacher cannot be published under Australian law.

Court Date Set and Police Statement

The accused is scheduled to make her first appearance at the Mandurah Magistrates Court on January 27, 2026.

A spokeswoman for the WA Police Force emphasised the gravity with which such allegations are treated. "Protecting children and ensuring their safety is our highest priority," she stated.

The spokeswoman acknowledged the distress such reports cause the community and highlighted the work of specialist detectives and support services who investigate these matters and care for victims.
