Major Drug Bust in Albion Park
Two individuals are facing a combined total of more than thirty drug supply charges following a significant police operation in the Illawarra region. The arrests occurred on Thursday, November 20, 2025, after officers intercepted a vehicle on Church Street in Albion Park.
Substantial Haul of Illicit Substances
During a search of the vehicle, which was pulled over at approximately 10:15 am, police allegedly uncovered a cache of illegal drugs and related items. A spokesperson for NSW Police confirmed the seizure, which included: 8.6 grams of cocaine, 6.4 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), various drug packaging materials, and $4,650 in cash.
The discovery led to the immediate arrest of a 34-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman at the scene. Both were taken into custody and subsequently charged with a range of serious offences.
Lengthy List of Charges and Court Appearances
The female accused was hit with a total of 27 offences. These charges are reported to include nineteen counts of supplying a prohibited drug and five counts of supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis. She was refused bail and was scheduled to face Bail Division Court 3 on Friday, November 21.
The male co-accused was charged with supplying prohibited drugs, participating in a criminal group, and recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime. In contrast to his alleged accomplice, he was granted conditional bail. He is set to appear before the Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday, December 10.
Ongoing Police Investigation
This police action was conducted under the umbrella of Strike Force Alamillio. This specialised police unit was established in October 2025 with the express purpose of investigating and disrupting the supply of prohibited drugs throughout the Lake Illawarra region. This bust represents a significant development in that ongoing operation.
