Six music festivals across the Illawarra region have been awarded a total of nearly $400,000 in grants from the New South Wales state government. The funding, part of the Regional Music Festival Fund, aims to boost local tourism and support the live music scene.

The successful festivals include the Yours and Owls Festival in Wollongong, which received $100,000, and the Bulli Show, which was granted $50,000. Other recipients are the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival, the Thirroul Seaside Festival, the Helensburgh Festival, and the Dapto Show. The grants range from $20,000 to $100,000 each.
