FOMO Fremantle welcomes two new additions: Love Ya So Matcha cafe and the Slow Fashion Hub. Love Ya So Matcha, founded by Japanese mother-daughter duo Aileen Carroll and Yoko Abe, opens on Sunday, February 1. The cafe serves organic, ceremonial-grade matcha sourced directly from Japan, focusing on the mindful ritual of tea. Each cup is hand-whisked for a smooth, creamy finish with gentle sweetness and a hint of umami.
The founders recently traveled across Japan to connect with small, family-run tea farms, including pioneers of organic seed-to-bag matcha production. Their menu features both matcha and hojicha, with weekly specials. Love Ya So Matcha is open Wednesdays to Fridays, 7am to 3pm, and Saturdays to Sundays, 8am to 3pm.
The Slow Fashion Hub is a space dedicated to caring for, repairing, and reimagining clothes. It offers school holiday camps for kids and shorter workshops focusing on making, mending, and creative upcycling projects. The hub aims to reduce textile waste and help people discover sustainable fashion brands.
