A Mandurah FIFO worker has received a life-changing birthday surprise, transforming a modest $20 investment into more than $253,000. The man, in his late 20s, purchased 20 games at $1 each and was left stunned after discovering he had secured the division one prize in Super66. Initially doubtful, he verified his win with Lotterywest before believing it.

“I wondered if it could be true,” he said. “I didn’t sleep that night because I still couldn’t really believe it, so I called on Sunday to make sure it was real. The fact it was my birthday the following week made it even harder to believe.”
Plans for the prize
The young winner has a clear plan for his windfall, aiming to ease the pressure on his mortgage after purchasing a home just a few years ago. “I’m still young and know if I’m sensible, this can go a long way,” he said. However, not all the money will go toward bills; he also plans a trip to Japan with his partner.
How Super66 works
Lotterywest spokeswoman Jennie Fitzhardinge explained that winning Super66 requires matching six numbers in exact order, with the jackpot rolling over if not won. “Super66 is a jackpotting game and if division one is not won, the prize will increase in the next draw. It is drawn every Saturday,” she said.
