Imdex Acquires Overseas Tech Firms in $99m Deal

Perth-based mining technology company Imdex has announced the acquisition of two overseas specialists for nearly $100 million. The deal will see Imdex pay €55.8 million ($98.9 million) for Luxembourg-based Advanced Logic Technology and its US-based subsidiary Mount Sopris Instruments.

The acquisitions are aimed at expanding Imdex's earth science capabilities, particularly in digital earth knowledge and subsurface intelligence. Imdex managing director Paul House stated that the deal would strengthen the company's position as a global leader in these fields.

Advanced Logic Technology specializes in borehole logging and data acquisition systems, while Mount Sopris Instruments provides geophysical logging tools and services. The combined expertise is expected to enhance Imdex's product offerings and market reach.
