WA Fuel Crisis Deepens as Service Stations Remain Dry, Rationing Threat Looms
Service stations across Western Australia continue to face severe fuel shortages on Tuesday, with the looming threat of rationing adding to the crisis. According to the latest data from FuelWatch, multiple locations remain completely dry, exacerbating concerns for motorists and businesses alike.
Current Fuel Shortage Statistics
As of Tuesday, the FuelWatch website reports that four service stations are entirely out of both petrol and diesel. Additionally, 17 servos have no petrol available—this includes stations lacking either unleaded or premium unleaded fuel—while 15 are without diesel, counted as empty if they lack either standard or brand diesel options.
Although the overall number of dry stations has decreased from Monday, when 22 were without petrol and 21 without diesel, the situation remains critical. Some regional stops, such as Walkaway General Store and Shell Reddy Express Broome, have been empty for an alarming length of time, highlighting the persistent nature of the shortages.
