WA Gov Releases Nine Lots at Bentley Tech Park for Sale

The State Government has placed nine vacant lots at the state-of-the-art Bentley Technology Park on the market for sale. The site, located near the Perth CBD and adjacent to Curtin University, is home to more than 100 organisations working across science, engineering, and technology industries.

Lot Sizes and Eligibility

Lot sizes range from 2,028 square metres to 3,309 square metres. These are intended for businesses involved in research and development activities, including laboratories, data centres, and education-focused operations. Organisations already based at the precinct include the CSIRO and the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre.

Precinct Structure Plan

The growth of the precinct will be guided by a newly prepared precinct structure plan aimed at supporting co-ordinated redevelopment. Planning and Lands Minister John Carey said the release would help drive the State’s innovation economy.

“Through the release of land in Bentley Technology Park, the Cook Labor Government is actively supporting the advancement of innovation, research, and technology-driven industries,” Mr Carey said. “Our government is focused on the release of more residential and commercial land to support the State’s growing population and strong economy.”

Support for Jobs and Investment

Science and Innovation Minister Stephen Dawson said the land release would support jobs and future investment in the sector. “This land release is an exciting opportunity that builds on the Cook Labor Government’s ongoing commitment to growing and improving Bentley Technology Park, as well as supporting more jobs in the innovation sector,” he said.

“Investing in precincts that concentrate research and innovation talent is a key part of our 10-year innovation strategy to become a renowned global hub of invention, investment, innovation and impact.”

Local Community Impact

Victoria Park MLA Hannah Beazley said the precinct played an important role in the local community. “This land release gives more innovators a chance to establish themselves at the Park, providing more job opportunities locally and helping to grow the industries of the future,” she said.

Offers for the lots close on Saturday, May 30.
