An Australian cleaning brand beloved for making kitchens and bathrooms sparkle has successfully launched a revolutionary line into the country's crowded laundry market. Koh, a household name for many, is now earning rave reviews for its new eco-friendly laundry range, with shoppers particularly praising its gentleness on sensitive skin.
The Problem-Solving Laundry Trio
Promising to clean effectively, be fragrance-free, and save consumers money, Koh's debut laundry collection is a plastic-free, skin-safe trio designed to simplify wash day. The range directly tackles common laundry aisle frustrations.
"The laundry aisle has been full of problems for too long — green detergents that don’t actually clean, overpowering scents, and plastic bottles that end up in landfill," says Koh CEO, Charli Walters. "These products strip that all back. No toxins, no confusion, no compromise — just simple, effective formulas that deliver real results."
Early customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. One shopper noted the products are "Great for sensitive skin and works great on stains without the chemicals," while another celebrated the stain remover's power: "Used it on a dress that I washed three times to get a stain out! The stain is finally gone!"
What's in the Koh Laundry Range?
The range consists of three key products, all Sensitive Choice approved by the National Asthma Council and rated Dermatest 'Excellent' for clinical safety on sensitive skin.
Sensitive Stain Remover: This foaming pre-treatment uses a blend of five enzymes to break down tough stains like grass, mud, makeup, and fake tan without bleach. It clings to fabric for instant treatment and can even be used on carpets and upholstery. A 1.5-litre refill costs $28.95.
Sensitive Laundry Sheets: These 100% plastic-free, pre-measured sheets dissolve in the wash, offering a mess-free, space-saving clean. A pack of 50 sheets, providing 50 washes, is priced at $21.95.
Sensitive Laundry Liquid: Described as the "power system," this liquid is designed to tackle sweat, oils, and food stains while protecting colours. It comes with a portion-control pump and costs $25.95 for a 1.5-litre refill, good for 60 washes.
Remarkably, using the full suite of products brings the cost per wash to just 44 cents.
The Science Behind the Suds
Koh's cleaning power hinges on enzyme science—using proven, biodegradable proteins to lift stains without harsh chemicals. The laundry liquid employs a specialist lipase enzyme to target greasy residues from oils and sunscreen, while the stain remover combines five different enzymes for the toughest messes.
"We’re told eco-friendly means weaker cleaning, but that’s a myth," asserts Charli Walters. "Koh Laundry shows you you can have both — safe for sensitive skin, better for the planet, and still strong enough to take on grass stains, red wine and fake tan."
The brand's origins trace back to Sydney father Adam Lindsay, who grew concerned about chemical ingredients in common cleaners after having a child. He collaborated with chemistry experts at UNSW Sydney to develop a safer alternative. What started at Bondi farmers' markets has grown into a business reportedly worth over $40 million, cementing its place as a top Australian cleaning brand.
