The awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, and will recognize outstanding local enterprises across 12 categories, highlighting their contributions to the local economy and community.
Awards to Celebrate Business Excellence
According to the city's website, the awards aim to “recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements, innovation, and resilience of businesses within the City of Bayswater.” The initiative is designed to honor businesses that have demonstrated excellence and made significant impacts on the local area.
Bayswater Mayor Filomena Piffaretti expressed enthusiasm for the new event, stating that it would support and elevate the city’s thriving business sector. “Our local businesses play a vital role in shaping Bayswater’s identity, creating jobs and driving economic growth,” she said. “These awards are an opportunity to recognise passion, innovation and resilience of the businesses that shape our community.”

The award categories include Business of the Year, Excellence in Hospitality, Excellence in Professional Services, Excellence in Sustainability, and Best New Business, among others. The city emphasized that the categories ensure businesses of all sizes and sectors have the opportunity to be recognized.
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges that includes Leadership WA Chief Executive Candy Choo and AIM WA Chief Executive Gary Martin. Their expertise will help identify the most deserving businesses across the various categories.
