Perth residents will need to bundle up this weekend as the city endures low temperatures, following the coldest morning recorded this year. Rain is expected to arrive next week.
Saturday's Forecast
Saturday will be partly cloudy with a maximum of 18°C and an overnight low of just 7°C. BOM meteorologist David Crock warned that a high pressure system could bring freezing conditions, including frost across the South West.
“(Saturday will be) quite a cool morning again, with some fog and frost in the mix across the south,” Mr Crock said. “We see this ridge of high pressure, which is extending up into northern Australia as well, and bringing generally fine and settled conditions in the west.”
Sunday and Monday
On Sunday, the mercury will climb to 19°C after an 8°C overnight minimum, with a small chance of rain in the afternoon and evening. Monday will also have a low chance of rain, with a minimum of 9°C and a maximum of 19°C.
Midweek Sunshine
The sun returns on Tuesday and Wednesday, with both days reaching 19°C after overnight lows of 7°C. However, sunny conditions will be short-lived.
Rain Returns Late Week
Thursday will bring a slightly higher maximum of 21°C, but up to 8mm of rain is expected. Friday will see a chilly 17°C maximum and up to 30mm of rain heading into next weekend.
