A chilly winter cold front is set to drench Perth on Sunday, bringing up to 8mm of rain and abruptly ending Saturday's sunny conditions. The city recorded a minimum of 6.2C overnight before reaching 18.7C at 1.59pm on Saturday, with an expected maximum of 19C.
Sunday's Forecast: Heavy Showers Expected
The cold front will move in on Sunday, with rain intensifying during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures are forecast to peak at 21C after an overnight low of 9C. The Bureau of Meteorology predicts up to 8mm of rainfall across the Perth metro area.
Rain Lingers into Monday
Showers will continue into Monday morning, with about 1mm of rain expected before a partly cloudy afternoon. The maximum temperature will reach 20C, following a minimum of 10C.
Midweek Reprieve: Sunny Days Ahead
Perth will enjoy a two-day break from the rain. Tuesday is forecast to be mostly sunny with a maximum of 21C, while Wednesday is likely to be cloudless with the same high of 21C.
Rain Returns Later in the Week
The wet weather will return on Thursday, with 6mm of rain expected and a high of 20C. Friday will see 5mm of rain and a maximum of 19C. Showers are expected to ease by Saturday, with only 1mm forecast.
