BOM Issues Marine Weather Warning for Perth as Storms Continue
BOM Marine Weather Warning for Perth as Storms Continue

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a fresh strong wind warning for Monday, with gusty conditions expected to hit large parts of Western Australia's coastline, including Perth. The warning covers Perth local waters, the Lancelin coast, Perth coast, Bunbury Geographe coast, Leeuwin coast, Albany coast and Esperance coast.

Wild Weather Continues

This comes after powerful winds battered the South West on Friday, with a 100km per hour gust recorded at Cape Leeuwin just before 4pm. The wet weather is not over either. Perth is forecast to receive between 5mm and 15mm of rain on Monday, before another 9mm to 20mm is expected to fall on Tuesday as the wintry blast continues.

The BOM had already issued a marine wind warning for the Albany and Esperance coasts on Sunday before expanding the strong wind warning to include Perth and much of WA's south-west coastline for Monday.
