A local community is on edge after an alleged break-in by a naked intruder who performed an indecent act before fleeing early Friday morning in Nedlands, a suburb in Perth's western suburbs.
Incident Details
Police said the man, wearing only a black cap, entered a home on Friday around 5:15 am. He allegedly performed an indecent act and then fled the scene. No injuries were reported, according to WA Police.
Neighbours described the incident as “very, very frightening.” Rebecca, a Nedlands local, told 7NEWS: “We’ve been living here for six and a half years and nothing like that’s happened before. It could have easily been us that could have been broken into. It doesn’t feel good.”
Police Investigation
Officers responded quickly, searching for evidence. Later on Friday afternoon, police announced that a 34-year-old man had been arrested and was being questioned. No charges have been laid at this stage.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
