The Guardian has issued corrections and clarifications for several recent articles. In a Trivia corner answer published on 27 May, it was incorrectly stated that the Brunswick Centre in London was designed by Leslie Martin. In fact, the architect was Patrick Hodgkinson. Martin contributed to early designs while serving as chief architect of the London County Council. This error appeared only in the print edition.
An article about unwanted slugs, titled 'Protect your strawberries' and published on 3 June, featured a photograph of the Irish yellow slug (Limacus maculatus). However, this species is generally welcomed by gardeners as it feeds on decaying plant matter, not living plants. The image was therefore misleading.
Other recently amended articles include: a piece on the right's culture war over prostate cancer screening, which was found to damage trust in medicine; a report accusing the Queensland government of operating a secret agenda to purge Indigenous representation, dubbed 'Project invisibility'; an article stating that Silicon Valley, including Meta, has embraced Maga politics, according to Nick Clegg; coverage of the King's birthday top honours awarded to Natasha Stott Despoja, Will Hodgman, and Terence Tao; a story about a New Zealand whale freed from fishing gear in a 'particularly dangerous' multi-day operation; an obituary for Anthony Head, actor known for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Ted Lasso, who died aged 72; an analysis of how woodland has become a store of wealth for the rich through tax-break trees; a report on Canada endorsing an embattled marine park's plan to relocate 30 beluga whales; a note that no Black jurors were selected for a murder trial over a killing at a 2025 Texas high school; a personal reflection titled 'The World Cup is being played in my hometown. Can't say I'm excited'; and questions raised about the treatment of pregnant minors in a Texas immigration facility, headlined 'Where are all the kids?'.
