Operation Details

Police will increase patrols and use surveillance technology to catch offenders. The crackdown follows community complaints about vehicles damaging grass surfaces and creating safety risks for pedestrians and other users.

Penalties and Enforcement

Offenders face fines of up to $2,000 and potential loss of their vehicle. Police will also issue traffic infringement notices for reckless driving. The operation will run throughout the summer months when sportsgrounds are heavily used.
