Former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a long-time political rival of Donald Trump, was captured on video losing her temper with a reporter. The incident occurred when Alison Steinberg, a journalist from Lindell TV—a right-wing network founded by MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell—questioned Pelosi about security failures before the January 6 Capitol riot. Steinberg asked if Pelosi had rejected additional protection for the Capitol, a theory promoted by Lindell and Trump. Pelosi responded angrily, telling the reporter, 'Get away from me!'
Oil Industry Warns of Looming Price Surge
Meanwhile, oil industry executives have privately warned the Trump administration that Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is depleting global inventories. One unnamed executive told Politico that levels are 'dangerously low' and that prices could surge in mid-to-late June. 'You're hitting tank bottom,' the executive said. Exxon's senior vice president, Neil Chapman, publicly stated last week that prices could 'shoot up' within two weeks. The White House dismissed the Politico report, calling the sources 'wrong.'
Global Energy Markets at Risk
The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments. Iran's ongoing blockage has raised concerns about supply shortages. Analysts warn that if inventories continue to drop, consumers could face significant price increases at the pump. The situation adds to tensions between the US and Iran, with potential economic repercussions worldwide.
