Chance encounter leads to perfect shot
Dutta arranged for balloons to be waiting at Canning station before traveling from Kolkata. He gave the balloons to local children and asked three to run and jump without further guidance. 'Their energy and expressions are all natural,' he says.
Natural balance in the frame
Reviewing the shots by the river, Dutta noticed one boy lagging behind. 'Two boys on the left jumping in the air and one on the right still on the ground created a nice balance,' he explains. He made basic edits on his phone, adjusting saturation and contrast.
'I tried to showcase a life where children can play freely under the open sky,' Dutta says. 'And I wanted to show the joy of Sundays.'
