Canberra Resident Takes Stand Against Racist Flyer Distribution

A Greenway resident in Canberra has made a courageous stand against a neo-Nazi activist who was openly distributing racist propaganda flyers in the city. The local man, returning home from work, spotted an individual handing out 'White Australia' leaflets and immediately decided to challenge him about the offensive material.

"It's honestly really disgusting this kind of racism is happening in our city, and that people feel bold enough to just do it out in the open," the resident told the Canberra Times, expressing his outrage at the brazen nature of the distribution.

Neo-Nazi Network Behind Offensive Material

According to the confrontation, the distributor claimed the flyers represented an organization dedicated to "advancing and preserving white Australians." The leaflets featured symbols connected to the Nationalist Socialist Network (NSN), a neo-Nazi group led by Thomas Sewell, who is currently facing charges over an alleged attack on a First Nations protest site in Melbourne.

The same offensive flyers have reportedly appeared in multiple Australian states. In Sydney, the material is being left on residents' cars overnight to avoid public detection, while in South Australia, Mitcham residents discovered the racist leaflets in their letterboxes.

The propaganda material complained about non-European immigrants and made the claim that Australia was becoming "less white and more brown," sparking widespread condemnation from those who received it.

Community Outrage and Wider Pattern

One shocked Mitcham ratepayer who found the flyer in their letterbox on Tuesday described the experience to The Advertiser, stating they were "shocked to find this racist rubbish stuffed in the letter box." The resident added, "I've never received anything so extreme and offensive."

Ironically, NSN leader Thomas Sewell is not Australian-born, having been born in New Zealand to South African parents before immigrating to Melbourne. Sewell and his second-in-command Joel Davis recently made headlines when Davis was remanded by police and refused bail after alleged threats that included "rhetorically rape" against NSW independent MP Allegra Spender.

The neo-Nazi group is currently on an aggressive recruitment drive and has been responsible for recent stunts targeting politicians, including ambushing Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and other MPs during the federal election campaign earlier this year.
