An unexpected tennis feud has emerged between French star Corentin Moutet and former Australian Open villain Danielle Collins. Collins, who is sitting out the first half of 2026, appeared on the Tennis Channel’s coverage of the Miami Open and claimed Moutet was flirting with her.
Co-host Steve Weissman said Moutet was “cat-calling” Collins while she was on-air. Collins then stated she told Moutet, “if you’re gonna be flirting with me like that you’re gonna have to get a bigger serve.” She added, “Some people think it comes down to height, but really what it comes down to is big forehands and big serves.”
Collins, who is 5’10” (178cm), referenced her dating profile that went viral last year, which included a “no short kings zone” comment. She claimed Moutet, who is 5’11” (180cm), unfollowed her after she expressed disinterest in short men, then messaged her again recently asking if she saw his match.
The clip went viral, but Moutet denied the claims on social media. The world No.33 posted, “How can I unfollow you when I never followed you? Tennis Channel - how can you let someone say BS like this on TV? You followed me. You asked me for mixed dubs. And I’ve never even followed you.”
Collins is no stranger to controversy, having been booed at the Australian Open last year after defeating local hope Destanee Aiava and celebrating with gestures that drew a flood of boos. She is currently on a break from tennis after freezing her eggs.
