Cody Simpson's sister Alli has confirmed the pop star's relationship with Olympic icon Emma McKeon is over. The podcast host said the couple are moving forward with their lives after going their separate ways towards the end of 2025.
The Daily Telegraph first reported Simpson, 29, and McKeon, 31, 'are still really good friends' and separated amicably. The couple in November sold a Gold Coast property they owned together.
'She is like sunshine in human form, so I’m just so happy they can move forward,' Alli said on Channel 7’s The Morning Show. 'I don’t want to speak for either of them, this is their private time and their business and I love them both dearly.'
Rumours have swirled in recent months with the pair appearing to live separate lives, as suggested by public appearances and social media content. McKeon didn’t interact with a birthday post Simpson shared last month, and they did not share Christmas or New Year’s Eve posts together.
The Olympics icon and pop star have been one of Australia’s most celebrated couples since they went Instagram official in July 2022. McKeon retired in November 2024 as Australia’s most decorated Olympian, while Simpson returned to elite swimming after a music career.
