Starting from box eight, Gold Smirch settled midfield after a moderate beginning. Exploiting space on the outside, she accelerated powerfully, overtaking leader Elite Deluxe and pulling away to a commanding lead. She crossed the finish line nearly five lengths ahead of runner-up Sheeran Melody, recording a time of 22.41 seconds.
Career Milestone
The victory improved Gold Smirch's record to 10 wins from 17 career starts. According to trainer Tony Scott, the win highlighted her potential at the highest level.

Gold Smirch was one of three winners for Scott on the night. Just Too Good claimed her first win since March in the 300m Grade 6, while Blue Lace recorded her second win in three starts with a front-running performance in the Mixed 5/6 Grade over 300m.
