England Dominate Wallabies 25-7 at Twickenham

The Wallabies suffered a disappointing 25-7 defeat against England at Twickenham, opening their European tour with a loss. England ran in four tries, with Australia's only score coming from a breakaway try by Harry Potter in the first half.

Former England captain Matt Dawson was scathing in his assessment on BBC Sport, calling the Wallabies 'dreadful' and 'the worst I have seen them, ever.' He added that Australia were 'so disjointed.' Despite the harsh criticism, the Wallabies could not replicate last year's last-gasp victory at the same venue.

England led 10-7 at halftime after a penalty from George Ford and a converted try by Ben Earl. The Wallabies improved after the break but were punished by England's Henry Pollock, Alex Mitchell, and Luke Cowan-Dickie, who scored tries. Pollock was later sin-binned for repeated infringements.

England's game plan, which involved early and frequent kicking, kept the Wallabies pinned in their own half. Fly half George Ford and scrum half Alex Mitchell executed perfectly, with England dominating in the air through Freddy Steward, Tom Roebuck, and Tommy Freeman.

Wallabies captain Harry Wilson said, 'We just didn't get [our attack] right on the day. There was a lot of good today, but to score points you've gotta score in the attacking zone and we weren't good enough today.' Australia must now regroup before facing Italy in Udine next week.
