NRL Star Bradman Best and Partner Kayla Fenech Welcome Baby Girl

Newcastle Knights centre Bradman Best, 24, and his partner Kayla Fenech, 29, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Kaliyah Rose Best. The couple announced the birth on social media, revealing that Kaliyah arrived on December 4, a month earlier than expected.

Kayla Fenech, daughter of boxing legend Jeff Fenech, shared photos of the newborn on Instagram, writing, 'Kaliyah Rose Best 4.12.25. We love you baby girl.' The following day, she posted additional images showing the baby's full head of dark hair.

The news drew congratulations from numerous NRL stars, including Best's Knights teammates Kalyn Ponga and Tyson Gamble, as well as Penrith Panthers players Brian To'o and Nathan Cleary. Other well-wishers included Cronulla Sharks halfback Nicho Hynes, South Sydney Rabbitohs back-rower Tallis Duncan, and Parramatta Eels flyer Josh Addo-Carr.

Jeff Fenech, now a grandfather, had previously expressed reservations about his daughter dating NRL players. However, he acknowledged that Best had won him over, saying, 'Bradman knew I was angry, but he told Kayla, “I’ll prove your dad wrong” ... and he has.'

Best has played over 100 games for the Knights since his debut in 2019 and represented New South Wales in 2023 and 2024. The Knights endured a difficult 2025 season, finishing last and parting ways with coach Adam O'Brien before the final two games. Former Newcastle halfback Justin Holbrook has been appointed as the new head coach.
