Arsenal last month ended a 22-year wait for a Premier League title. The champions will begin their title defense with a Friday night clash against promoted Coventry City on 21 August.

Opening Weekend Highlights

Coventry will start their first Premier League campaign in 25 years with a trip to the Emirates Stadium. Fellow promoted club Hull City host Manchester United on Saturday, while Ipswich Town entertain Sunderland that day.

Other standout fixtures include Andoni Iraola taking Liverpool to Newcastle on 23 August for his debut match. Manchester City, now without Pep Guardiola, begin at home to Bournemouth on the same day.

Key Early Season Matches

Iraola’s Anfield debut will occur on the weekend of 29 August against Nottingham Forest. A first top-flight match at Coventry’s home stadium since 2001 will be against Hull.

Arsenal go to Aston Villa on the second weekend and host Chelsea a week later. Trips to Sunderland and Brighton follow.

Derbies and Big Clashes

The final day of the Premier League will take place on 30 May, with Arsenal at home to Brighton, City at Sunderland, and Liverpool hosting Iraola’s former club Bournemouth. Chelsea and United finish at home to Brentford and Fulham, respectively.
