Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Name Son Midas

Heavyweight boxer Tommy Fury and influencer Molly-Mae Hague have revealed the name of their newborn son in a unique way, days after announcing his arrival. The couple confirmed they have named their baby boy Midas, ending days of speculation after keeping the name tightly under wraps.

A Ring Walk Reveal

Hague had hinted the reveal would come during Fury's walk to the ring for his bout against strongman Eddie Hall in Manchester on Saturday, suggesting the boxer would follow the same tradition he used when daughter Bambi was born in 2023. Fury delivered on the tease, incorporating the name into his fight shorts as he returned to the ring for the first time in more than a year.

Meaning Behind the Name

The name Midas originates from Greek mythology and is best known through the story of King Midas, whose touch turned everything to gold. He was blessed by the Greek God Dionysus, however, it quickly became a curse. The King touched everything and turned it to gold, including his own daughter, food and drink.

Birth Announcement

The couple announced their son's birth on June 3 with a black-and-white Instagram photo showing the pair admiring their newborn. The post, captioned "…and then there were 4," drew more than 1.5 million likes within two hours as fans and friends flooded the comments.

Fight Victory

Fury went on to secure a majority-decision win over Hall, with heavyweight star and brother Tyson Fury as well as Hague watching from ringside. Judges ruled the 27-year-old had done enough to defeat the former world's strongest man.

Relationship Timeline

Hague and Fury became engaged in July 2023 before splitting in August 2024. They later rekindled their relationship and confirmed they were back together in May 2025, though the reason for the breakup has never been made public. At the time, Hague told followers the situation was "real life" and "very sad", adding she would not discuss details out of respect for Fury. The pair met on the UK's Love Island. Midas is their second child together after their little girl Bambi was born in 2023.
