Seven Network has announced its 2026 AFL commentary lineup, headlined by the return of Collingwood legend Scott Pendlebury and the addition of Hawthorn great Shane Crawford. Pendlebury, a 425-game veteran and six-time All Australian, will serve as an expert commentator for select rounds, including Round 1 when Melbourne faces St Kilda on March 15. Crawford, a Brownlow medallist and 2008 premiership player, brings his infectious love for the game to the team across multiple matches.
The network's core commentary team returns, featuring Brian Taylor, James Brayshaw, Hamish McLachlan, and Alister Nicholson. New recruit Jack Heverin, formerly of Triple M, will join select Sunday broadcasts. Seven will air more Sunday night games than ever before, starting with St Kilda vs Collingwood in Opening Round on March 8.
Returning expert commentators include Kane Cornes, Luke Hodge, Abbey Holmes, Nick Riewoldt, Matthew Richardson, Daisy Pearce, Dale Thomas, and Joel Selwood. Regular contributors Kate McCarthy, Erin Phillips, Chad Wingard, Cameron Ling, Jobe Watson, Campbell Brown, and Jude Bolton will also feature. Rebecca Maddern returns as Thursday Night Footy host, with Mitch Cleary and Xander McGuire providing breaking news coverage.
Seven's magazine programming returns after a 2025 revamp, including The Agenda Setters, which expands to a third Wednesday night edition hosted by Craig Hutchison. Other shows include Unfiltered with Hamish McLachlan, Extra Time, Sunday Footy Feast, and The Front Bar. The network also announced a documentary on legendary caller Dennis Cometti, titled Centimetre Perfect, produced with Bruce McAvaney.
Club-focused docuseries will follow Collingwood and St Kilda, building on last year's Full Sweat series about Hawthorn. All coverage will be broadcast live and free on Seven and streamed on 7plus Sport.
