The AFL community has rallied around Brendan Fevola and his family following the death of Alex Fevola's father, Keith. Alex, the partner of former AFL star Brendan Fevola, announced the news in an emotional social media tribute, revealing that Keith passed away last Friday.
In her tribute, Alex described her father as indestructible and full of life, saying, 'It has been so difficult to come to terms with. My Dad seemed indestructible, young at heart and full of life. We can't believe he's gone.' She also expressed how much she and her children will miss his humour and love.
Brendan and Alex, who divorced in 2014 but reconnected two years later, are now engaged and share four children: Mia, Leni, Lulu, and Tobi. Mia, Brendan's stepdaughter, paid tribute to her grandfather, writing, 'On Friday, heaven gained an angel. Rest in peace, granddad, love you forever.'
Messages of support have poured in from fans and friends, including Australian actress Christie Hayes, who wrote, 'So sorry Fev, love and condolences to your family.' Others expressed their condolences, with one comment saying, 'Sending our thoughts in a difficult time. He was a great bloke.'
