Three Residents Attacked in Separate Home Invasions at Same Newcastle Unit Block

Three residents from the same unit building on Fowler Street in Hamilton South, Newcastle, have been assaulted in separate home invasions between last Friday and Tuesday. Cash and personal items were stolen during the incidents.

The first attack occurred between 4:30am and 6am on Friday, when a 26-year-old woman was allegedly attacked while asleep. She suffered deep cuts to her face and hand, believed to be caused by a large bladed weapon. She presented herself to John Hunter Hospital on Saturday, prompting a police investigation.

Later that day, at about 8pm, emergency services were called to the same unit block following reports of another home invasion. A 44-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and robbed by three men armed with edged weapons. He was treated at the scene for lacerations and bruising before being taken to John Hunter Hospital. Cash and personal items were stolen.
