Massage Therapist Faces 40 New Sexual Assault Charges in Queensland

A central Queensland massage therapist already facing multiple sexual assault charges has been hit with an additional 40 counts of sexual assault, bringing the total alleged offences to 107.

Donovan Webb, 47, from Blackwater, was first charged in August with one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault after allegedly inappropriately touching a 20-year-old female client during a massage session at his business.

Following a police appeal for other potential victims, 20 more women came forward, leading to two additional rape charges and 62 further sexual assault counts. Detectives arrested Webb yesterday at a Blackwater residence and charged him with another 40 sexual assault offences.

Police allege all offences occurred during massage therapy sessions. Webb is due to appear before Blackwater Magistrates Court in January on all charges, which now total three counts of rape and 104 counts of sexual assault.

The Health Ombudsman has suspended Webb from providing any massage services in paid or unpaid roles.
