Two Malaysian nationals have been arrested in Sydney's south-west after Australian Federal Police allegedly seized more than 100 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $128 million.
The men, aged 24 and 25, were taken into custody in Roselands on Friday. Police found the drugs in six cardboard boxes inside two cars.
One of the men was found to be living in Australia unlawfully. Officers also seized multiple mobile phones, identification documents, and a substantial amount of Australian currency.
The pair are scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday. They face charges of possessing a commercial quantity of an unlawfully imported border-controlled drug, which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a fine of up to $1.35 million.
