Adelaide Child Exploitation Probe Leads To Brothel Bestiality Charges

Two people have been charged after a major investigation into child exploitation material allegedly uncovered a secret brothel and bestiality in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

South Australia’s Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET), a partnership between SA Police and the AFP, attended a home on Wednesday as part of an investigation into online child exploitation material.

Police said a review of electronic devices at the home allegedly revealed child exploitation material, as well as evidence the residents had allegedly engaged in bestiality.

A 39‑year‑old man from the home was arrested and charged with possessing child exploitation material, managing a brothel, bestiality and ill‑treatment of an animal. A 33‑year‑old woman was also charged with bestiality and ill‑treatment of an animal.

Both were granted bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date. Additional electronic devices were also seized for forensic analysis.

Detective Chief Inspector George Fenwick, Officer in Charge of Special Crimes Investigation Section, said dedicated teams were working to keep children safe, describing the allegations as a heinous and blatant breach of the law and a profound violation of community standards.
