One Australian ticketholder has won a staggering $80 million in Thursday's Powerball draw, the only player to match all seven winning numbers plus the Powerball. The odds of achieving this feat were 1 in 134,490,400, according to Lotterywest.
The winner's location remains unknown, but Lotterywest confirmed the ticket was not purchased in Western Australia. The winning numbers for draw #1552 were 20, 30, 21, 18, 11, 14 and 12, with the Powerball being 7.
In division two, two WA ticketholders each won $106,786.70. Division three saw 139 players, including 20 West Aussies, pocket more than $12,350 each.
This jackpot follows a string of big wins in WA in January. A couple from Mt Pleasant won $1.6 million in a Saturday draw, and a Pilbara grandfather took home $10 million from the $20 million Powerball on January 8.
