Woman Escapes Serious Injury After Train Hits Car in Logan

A woman in her 40s has survived a dramatic train crash in Kingston, Logan, south of Brisbane, with only minor injuries. The incident occurred around 10:30pm on Saturday when her car left the road and rolled onto train tracks before being struck by an oncoming train.

Emergency services responded to Mayes Ave, where paramedics treated the driver at the scene. She was later transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition. The train driver and approximately 100 passengers were uninjured and declined medical assessment, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

A second train was also halted due to the crash. Three Queensland Fire and Emergency crews worked until midnight to remove the wreckage. Passengers from both trains were evacuated using a makeshift bridge to board a replacement train on the opposite track.
