89-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit by Car in Lyneham

An 89-year-old man who was struck by a car in Canberra's inner north earlier this month has died from his injuries. ACT Policing confirmed the man died on Wednesday after being hospitalised following the crash on February 17.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Ellenborough Street in Lyneham about 4:30pm after reports a car had collided with a pedestrian. The man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police said the driver, a 94-year-old woman, was interviewed last week. The investigation is ongoing and police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
