Muse Built has achieved significant recognition at the 2025 HIA Hunter Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, securing two major wins that highlight the company's dedication to quality craftsmanship and innovative design. The awards mark a milestone for the five-year-old builder, reinforcing its growing reputation in the region.
Owner/builder Jack Burke led Muse to victory in the 2025 Hunter Region Renovation/Addition Project $1m - $2m category, as well as the Outdoor Project $150,000 - $300,000 category. The company was also a finalist in the Kitchen of the Year $75,000 - $100,000 and Renovation/Addition Project $750,000 - $1m categories.
This success follows a breakthrough year where Burke received the Highly Commended Australian Emerging Builder award at the HIA-CSR Housing Awards, after winning the Hunter Region Emerging Builder award the previous year. The team of 12 staff at Muse Built operates with the mission to build high-quality standout custom homes in the Newcastle region.
Burke attributed the company's success to being honest, reliable, and trustworthy, with direct communication maintained with clients throughout the build. He emphasized a solution-minded approach and constant collaboration with clients and trades. The award-winning projects featured thoughtful design, clever use of materials, and high-quality craftsmanship, underpinned by positive client relationships.
Looking ahead, Muse Built aims to solidify its position as a sought-after custom home builder in the Newcastle region, with several exciting projects in the pipeline that will challenge the team and reflect strong client-architect-builder relationships.
