An e-scooter rider is in a life-threatening condition after colliding with a car in the Townsville suburb of Garbutt. The incident occurred on Ramsay Street at approximately 3:45pm on Thursday.
The adult male rider sustained critical head and pelvic injuries and was transported to Townsville University Hospital by paramedics. Queensland Ambulance confirmed the man's condition is life-threatening.
The driver of the car involved remained at the scene and did not require medical treatment. Queensland Police's Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the collision.
