A man in his 30s was rescued from Scarborough’s concrete skate park after falling into the bowl known as ‘The Snake Pit’ just after midnight on Monday. The fall occurred at the deepest point of the bowl, approximately 3.6 meters deep.

Emergency services, including St John Ambulance, WA Police, and DFES, responded to the scene. Paramedics secured the man to a spinal board before rescuers used a rope and pulley system to lift him out of the bowl.

The man was then transported to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. It is understood he sustained an ankle injury from the fall.
