Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a baby found in a home in the Perth suburb of Balcatta. The infant, aged under 12 months, was discovered deceased at the residence.
Police have stated that the investigation is in its preliminary stages. Family members of the infant are currently assisting detectives with their inquiries.
St John Ambulance dispatched several crews to the home shortly after 3am on Monday. A spokesperson confirmed that a woman was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
