A crash on Kwinana Freeway southbound is causing headaches for commuters as peak-hour traffic hits Perth on Tuesday afternoon. The left lane of the Freeway has been closed by Incident Response. Main Roads has urged motorists to exercise “extreme” caution if travelling in the area.
A breakdown on the Narrows Bridge on the Kwinana Freeway northbound also caused congestion further north. The incident has since been cleared, but traffic remains slow on the busy stretch of Freeway.
Further south, a crash on Kwinana Freeway southbound was also reported by Main Roads at 4.28pm. A truck breakdown on Reid Highway is also causing major congestion in Perth’s north. The breakdown, reported at 2.45pm, is located on the westbound lanes after Wanneroo Road in Balcatta. Incident Response has closed the left lane, and traffic is slow on approach. Main Roads has reminded drivers to allow for a safe merge if travelling to the area.
A crash on Kwinana Freeway is also causing heavy congestion for drivers. The crash on the southbound lanes occurred at Roe Highway in Jandakot and was reported by Main Roads at 3.29pm. It has since been cleared, but traffic remains slow leading up to the incident site.
