Police are investigating after an unknown man allegedly snuck into a family home in New Farm, northern Brisbane, at least five times since January to use their swimming pool without permission.
Homeowner Holly Stevens told 9News the man, seen on CCTV removing his shoes and socks at the front door, would stretch and swim laps before leaving. She described the behavior as “entitled” and believes he may have entered the property undetected before they installed better cameras.
“He’s like, sweaty, has sneakers on, and he’s running, and then he’s stretching in the pool after a run, which is honestly very gross,” Stevens said, adding that the situation is “bizarre.”
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed the investigation covers alleged trespassing incidents between January 19 and April 25, and urged anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage, or information to contact them.
