Fire Rescue NSW warned that LPG cylinders can be extremely dangerous if not used or stored properly. They should never be used indoors, in confined spaces, or in windy conditions. The agency advises shutting off the cylinder valve before disconnecting the bottle from a BBQ and avoiding connecting or disconnecting cylinders near a naked flame. Anyone who smells gas should call triple-0 immediately.
