Firefighters responded to a blaze in Thornton on Thursday afternoon after a car fire spread to a nearby home. The incident occurred on Tallowood Way, where a medium-sized single-level house was affected.
Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) arrived at the scene just after 3pm on November 13. Six firefighting crews and a duty commander worked to bring the fire under control by 4pm, with the incident fully resolved by 6:30pm.
No occupants were home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. Initial reports from a triple zero caller suggested the fire may have started in a car parked in the driveway before spreading to the house.
Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring properties. Upon arrival, they found the car in the driveway fully engulfed in flames.
