ghd Unveils Sculpt: A New Era in Heat Styling
For decades, heat styling has forced a compromise between achieving sleek strands, polished waves, or defined curls and maintaining hair health. Now, ghd, one of the world's leading styling brands, claims that trade-off is obsolete. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the company has launched the ghd sculpt, an interactive styler designed to redefine expectations for heated tools.
The launch represents one of ghd's biggest innovations, introducing Heat Adapt Technology—an intelligent system that measures the temperature of the hair itself rather than just monitoring the styling plates. Using AI-driven sensing, the tool adapts in real time, delivering personalised heat control throughout every pass.
Zero Damage Promise Backed by Research
According to ghd, 98 per cent of consumers believe heat styling inevitably damages hair. The sculpt aims to change that perception. The company says the styler delivers salon-quality results while causing zero damage to the hair's natural structure. Built on 25 years of heat science research, the tool promises up to 90 per cent more shine, 2.5 times less frizz, superior curl definition, colour protection, and styling up to five times faster compared to traditional techniques.
Scientific testing by the brand found that hair returned to its natural state after washing, reinforcing ghd's focus on preserving internal hair structure while achieving polished results.
Design and Technology Features
The sculpt features an ultra-slim ergonomic body that is lighter than previous models, making it easier to manoeuvre from root to tip for smooth styles, soft waves, or defined curls. The Infinity plates are engineered for a smoother glide, minimising snagging while delivering consistent results. The Heat Adapt Technology continuously adjusts during use, maintaining optimal heat for each pass rather than applying a fixed temperature across every section.
This precision is particularly beneficial for those with coloured or chemically treated hair, as it helps protect against damage over time.
Availability and Pricing
The new ghd sculpt is available in classic Black and White, priced at $599. It goes on sale from 6 pm on 9 July through the ghd website, premium salons, and selected retailers. The launch reflects growing demand for beauty technology that prioritises hair health alongside styling performance, offering a tool that simplifies routines while protecting hair condition.
