A new promo for Home and Away reveals that Tane Parata, played by Ethan Browne, is at the heart of storylines filmed during the soap's recent trip to Western Australia. The promo, released Monday night, shows fan-favourite characters Brax (Stephen Peacocke) and Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) considering whether to help Tane disappear to their remote outback property.
Tane faces explosive drama involving his son Archie's grandmother, Kerrie (Sara Wiseman), who accuses him of kidnapping the boy. He is potentially facing jail time. The promo hints that Brax and Ricky may offer him a new life in Western Australia, with Ricky saying, 'You two have a lot in common' and 'Once a River Boy, always a River Boy.'
The trailer also showcases Brax and Ricky's new home, a remote cattle station deep in the outback. An official release explains that Brax, Ricky, and their son Casey have built a peaceful life in hiding, but a crisis from Summer Bay threatens to disrupt it. Brax is torn between protecting his family and his loyalty to his River Boy brothers.
Scenes include a cattle muster, a boat ride, and a beach embrace between Brax and Ricky. Perth's Elizabeth Quay is featured prominently, where Tane and Brax meet. Eagle-eyed fans spotted the pair filming there late last year, though Seven only confirmed Browne's involvement this week.
This marks the first time in Home and Away's 38-year history that filming has taken place in Western Australia, in partnership with Tourism Western Australia. A Seven spokesperson says the episodes will air 'soon.'
