Transport for NSW has announced road closures along the Wollongong foreshore for New Year's Eve celebrations on Wednesday 31 December. The closures will affect several roads from 4pm to 10pm, with additional restrictions later in the evening.
From 4pm to 10pm, the following roads will be closed: Crown Street between Harbour Street and Marine Drive will also be closed from 7pm to 10pm. Event attendees are encouraged to leave their cars at home and use public or active transport options.
The free Gong Shuttle will increase services to run every 10 minutes to help attendees get to and from the event. Bus diversions will be in place, and passengers are advised to plan their trip via the Transport for NSW website.
