Kyle Sandilands' $100m Contract Revealed in Legal Battle with Kiis FM

The full details of Kyle Sandilands' $100 million contract with Kiis FM have been made public after a federal court lifted a restriction on the document. The shock jock is suing ARN Media for the remaining $85 million after the broadcaster terminated the deal, alleging he breached his contract by repeatedly berating colleagues and the audience on air.

The contract, signed just over a year into the 10-year agreement, includes perks such as a car parking space at the North Sydney studio, airport transfers in a Mercedes Sprinter when broadcasting from Melbourne, and return business air fares with a suite at a five-star hotel. Sandilands also received a flight allowance of $120,000 per year, paid monthly at $10,000.

Sandilands was not required to read news reports, as the program was described as 'not a news program,' but he could provide his opinion on news content. For an annual payment of $7.4 million in cash, a $200,000 consultancy fee, and $500,000 in contra air time, he was obligated to deliver live programs, 'best of' shows, 797 live reads, comedy segments, public appearances, pre-recorded commercials, and social media posts.

The contract also gave Sandilands the right to audit the station's books for bonus payments and required that he be informed if co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson negotiated improved terms. ARN Media insisted he broadcast from the Sydney studio or a location with broadcast-quality sound, and he had to give seven days' notice for international travel. A 10-day hearing has been set for October.
