Details of the Incident

Authorities responded to the 19200 block of Erwin Street in Tarzana, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning after a caller stated, "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin." Upon arrival, officers found 81-year-old Handy unconscious in the front yard of a home, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest. He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead.

Suspect Apprehended

Shortly after the attack, 44-year-old Michael Gledhill waved down officers and confessed to the crime, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Gledhill is the son of Handy's girlfriend and was living with his mother at the time of the incident. He was arrested for murder, with bail set at $2 million.
