Rolling Loud Australia Cancelled Days Before Festival Start

International hip-hop festival Rolling Loud has cancelled its two-day Australian event just days before it was scheduled to begin, leaving fans frustrated and disappointed. The festival was set to take place at Sydney's Centennial Park on March 7 and Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse on March 8.

In a statement shared on its website and Facebook page, Rolling Loud said it was 'really disappointed' to announce the cancellation. The organisers blamed their local partner, Primuse Entertainment, for failing to meet critical payment deadlines and related obligations, stating that ongoing delays left them without necessary guarantees so close to the event.

Primuse Entertainment issued a statement late Friday saying it was 'extremely disappointed' by the cancellation and did not accept certain aspects of Rolling Loud's characterisation. Primuse said it acted in good faith and made reasonable efforts to deliver a successful event, and its immediate focus is on supporting ticket holders and ensuring refunds are processed efficiently.

All ticket holders will be entitled to a refund, with further details to be provided by the event organiser and official ticketing partners. On social media, some fans expressed heartbreak and disappointment, with one commenting, 'Very disappointed but not surprised.'

Rolling Loud made its Australian debut in 2019 with a lineup featuring Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Tyga, Smokepurpp and Manu Crook$. The festival was postponed in 2024 shortly after its announcement, and organisers announced a 2026 comeback in October 2025 with a new two-day format and a lineup including Gunna, Ken Carson, Sexyy Red, Tyla, Swae Lee, Lil Tjay, Quavo and others.
